Viktor\u2019s acquaintances were convinced they understood the reason for the marriage. He had spent many years in the construction business, owned a large country house, several apartments, and commercial property. Viktor then explained why he had never told her about his daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had been afraid that his new wife would begin to see Elena as a rival for the inheritance. So he decided to remain silent and divide his property himself according to his own wishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elena sat across from Marina and barely looked at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The day was difficult for her as well. Along with the inheritance, she received a letter from her father in which he apologized for the years of silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
